Chocolate & Co
Chocolat & Co is a collective of local chocolatiers and chocolate-makers in the heart of downtown near the corner of Fort and Douglas Street. Owner and Chocolatier David Booth has been creating decadent chocolate truffles, caramels, cakes, ice cream, and pastries since the late ‘80’s. He and his wife, Vlasta, established their chocolate company, “Terrible Truffles” while operating a high-end Bed & Breakfast, selling at local farmers’ markets, and then taking over the Historic Birdcage Confectionary store in James Bay. In the summer of 2020, the Booths took over the Chocolate Shop at 703 Fort Street, and invited local chocolate makers to showcase their award-winning bars and bonbons: Uncouth, Sirene, Wallace, Black Jaguar, Fat Cat, Kasama, East Van Roasters, and Ontario’s Hummingbird to name a few. Now, chocolate lovers can find the finest selection of ethically sourced chocolate bars, bonbons, drinking chocolates, espresso, pastries, and gelato under one roof.
